Finally got this weblog moved. Had some strange behaviour with customErrors not seeming to work when I set the mode to "Off". Turns out the virtual directory/application base was set one directory too high during the migration. This made the "authentication" and "sessionState" entries illegal in web.config. Parsing failed and by default, the customError mode was set to RemoteOnly. Changing its value had no effect.
Been using this nice little freeware program from Aignes called AM-DeadLink to detect dead links in my Favorites collection. Really, this kind of functionality should be built into the web browser.
This blog has been a bit quiet. I do have a bunch of things to post about but I'm just about to move the website and domain. I'm still sticking to webhost4life but consolidating it with another account and I thinking of risking an upgrade to the first release of Community Server. Hang on while I transfer it.
