It's been extremely annoying over the last couple of weeks as blog spammers discovered both my blogs and started posting daily spam in the comment sections. I finally got the source code for .Text (0.95.2004.102) compiling again and implemented a spam filter in DotText.Web.dll. You just need to modify btnSubmit_Click() in the Dottext.Web.UI.Controls.PostComment class to detect the spam and not post it. All I do at the moment is limit the number of links allowed. Drop me a note if you want the dll or the code.
There are other solutions out there such as the CAPTCHA Control or installing database...
A teaser for Age of Empires III is out. The Ages series is still my favourite game and III looks likes it's going to be fabulous. Check out the screenshots. Launches first half of 2005.
I used the service offered by the MIGsofT website to network unlock my Orange SPV C500. It cost £20 and took about 10 minutes to complete. Dead easy and does exactly what it says. Recommended.
My plan was to keep my O2 PAYG sim and avoid migrating my number. O2 has lower GPRS and MMS costs and free SMS bundles. However, that plan seems to be foiled since O2 PAYG only offers browsing via WAP and dial-up rather than real GPRS. To be confirmed while I muck with all the configuration options. So far, I've got the basic O2 calling and SMS working...

I've concluded that PDA's aren't for me. It's just the wrong form factor and there's no compelling application for me on it. Ideally, I need two devices: a combined phone/camera/mp3 player and a ultra compact laptop. I like the idea of a single device that is first and foremost, a phone. And it's got to be a good phone or forget it. Easy to use, decent battery life and comfortable in a pocket. Next, the key apps are a contact list and...
